In early April, the Âé¶¹APPStudent North Carolina Association of Educators (SNCAE) became one of seven colleges and universities to be designated a blue ribbon chapter and was awarded a $150 prize for membership activities by the North Carolina Association of Educators.

Âé¶¹APPSNCAE officers submitted an application which detailed membership activities, community involvement and membership growth for the 2010-2011 school year. Mrs. Amanda Bosch, director of the Âé¶¹APPCurriculum Materials Center, serves as advisor for the Âé¶¹APPSNCAE. The SNCAE Officers for 2010-2011 are Julie Gilley of Dobson, president; Danielle Garzon of Raleigh, vice-president; Brittany Myers of Shelby, secretary; Sarah Morse of North Berwick, Maine, treasurer; Elizabeth Sloop of Salisbury, senior class representative; Brent Messenger of Kannapolis, junior class representative; Elizabeth Davis of East Bend, sophomore class representative; and Amber Strickland of Mooresville, freshman class representative.
