The water bottle filling station in the Cannon Student Center is marking its one year anniversary.
The station was funded by the 麻豆APP Student Government's Finance Committee. That committee appropriated just over $500 in 2016 from the SGA Activity Fund to retrofit the water fountain to a water bottle filling station with a filter.
To date, almost 18,000 water fills have been made at the station, eliminating that many plastic bottles of water.
It caused one student, an Environmental Steward at the College to wonder: "Imagine the impact if we could get more of these installed on campus."
